![]() There you’ll see at the bottom “POWER CAPACITY” and “POWER RECHARGE”. Not sure what your capacity and/or recharge is and feel like you’re always out of energy? Hit start (go to the PDA) and tab over to the SHIP tab. Energy controls many different aspects of your ship’s abilities and it’s split up into 3 parts: shields, engines, and weapons. Dogfightingĭogfighting is all about energy management. I’m going to try and explore some decent ways to ACTUALLY be successful. Let’s dive in – most guides thusfar kinda suck and don’t get you what you need to know other than what you might already grasp having played the original – this is NOT the original. Lore/script/story aside, I’m here to talk about Rebel Galaxy Outlaw and how to get gud, son. Rebel Galaxy Outlaw is the prequel sequel (hah!) to the original, playing as Juno Markev (the Aunt of the character you play in the original) with a sordid past – here we see why/how. Or, worse, chase the irritating little bastards down because none of my weapons work at 8+ solar bark measures or whatever the hell SM is supposed to be and they've got both the cargo AND the bounty mark over their targeting information (thanks, detail scanner!).That’s right… I played and played and PLAYED the original. Which is kind of beside the point when I'm being bum rushed by a bunch of crazy ET rejects who want to make free with MY delicious cargo-y innards and all I want to do is RUN THE FUCK AWAY. Worse, I'm pretty damn certain that it wouldn't make my turrets automagically kill the leech missiles - I'd have to go into fine targeting mode. And I need the maneuvering boosters, because the Blackgate turns like a pig. Also, I need the detail scanner so I can easily see who I will kill to take their delicious cargo containing innards! I surely need the broadside charger, because holy CRAP Neutron beams take forever to charge up without it. But I need that repair bot, otherwise I bankrupt myself every time I dock because I spend WAY too much time out killing and exploring. ![]() I suspect you could improve your chances of leechiness by getting the ordnance targeting mod. Missiles? Sure, decently good at killing missiles. The part that is extremely irritating? You know those flak cannons (secondary turret thingy) that are advertised as being effective against missiles and fighters? Well, they work for fuck all against fighters. ![]() ![]() As it stands, going to find something else to play. Rush in under deflector, go to rapid fire, watch things burn. I can see trying some new strategies, like buying the Polaris or the Minotaur (or even the Barracuda) and loading it up with tachyon broadsides and short range beams/leech turrets. I came back and the ship was fine, no damage, and all but one of the fighters were dead.įun game, 37 hours put into it. I parked it in the middle of a fighter swarm and left it there for ten minutes and WALKED AWAY to go do something else. As it stands, there is nothing in this 'verse that can stand up to my ship. I would like to replay it, especially if it had a New Game+ mode, with even more insanity to follow. Using the shieldbuster missiles to blow away a dreadnoughts shields, followed up by 20x Neutron broadsides? Yeah. No damage, taking down the silly tough dreadnoughts in about 45 seconds. My ship is so stupidly over powered that the final couple of fights were walks in the park. Addon's were the detail scanner, maneuvering boosters, broadside charger, and the repair bot (saves a ton of money if you can go do something else for 5 minutes or so before docking). 1x Mk6 Shieldbuster Missile Turret (locked target only)
